                         destina{\c{c}}{\~a}o cada vez mais incerta, a Regi{\~a}o 
                         Metropolitana da Baixada Santista tem como desafio encontrar uma 
                         nova solu{\c{c}}{\~a}o para o res{\'{\i}}duo da regi{\~a}o, 
                         j{\'a} que o aterro atual S{\'{\i}}tio das Neves tem at{\'e} 
                         2020 como expectativa de funcionamento. Sendo assim, este presente 
                         estudo tem como objetivo geral verificar a informa{\c{c}}{\~a}o 
                         de que n{\~a}o h{\'a} {\'a}rea dispon{\'{\i}}vel para 
                         implanta{\c{c}}{\~a}o de um novo aterro sanit{\'a}rio. Para 
                         isso foi calculada uma estimativa de res{\'{\i}}duos produzidos 
                         na regi{\~a}o entre 2020 e 2030 para estimar a {\'a}rea ocupada 
                         por um novo aterro. Foi utilizado o SIG para realizar uma 
                         an{\'a}lise multicrit{\'e}rio e verificar que, principalmente, 
                         devido aos aeroportos e Unidades de Conserva{\c{c}}{\~a}o da 
                         regi{\~a}o n{\~a}o existe {\'a}rea apta para receber um novo 
                         aterro sanit{\'a}rio na regi{\~a}o. ABSTRACT: The production of 
                         solid waste is present mainly in the demographically habited 
                         areas. They are being considered large expressions of 
                         environmental pollution, the waste appear as large problematic in 
                         the municipalities. With the destination becoming increasingly 
                         uncertain, the metropolitan region of Baixada Santista has the 
                         challenge of finding a new solution for the local waste, as the 
                         current site {"}S{\'{\i}}tio das Neves{"} has until 2020 as an 
                         expected operation. Therefore, the present study aims to verify 
                         the information that there is no available area for implantation 
                         of a new landfill site. For this, an estimate of the waste 
                         produced in the region between 2020 and 2030 was calculated to 
                         estimate the area that would be occupied by a new landfill. The 
                         GIS system was used to perform a multicriteria analysis and it was 
                         verified that there is no suitable area to receive a new landfill 
                         in the region, mainly due to the presence of airports and 
                         conservation units around this area.",
